The word "scrap" is often used to describe small paper images printed in color by the process called chromo-lithography and they are usually embossed and die-cut. In Victorian times these scraps or "cut-outs" were highly sought after and collections of scraps were pasted into specially produced albums.
Much of this collection is from a true Victorian Scrap Album of the 1880s (we have even included the fabulous cover as an image).
Victorian Trade Cards were used to advertise American goods and services during the late 1800s.
